What We Do
At Music of the Iranian Diaspora (MofID), we create a platform for musicians and composers to share the powerful stories of the Iranian diaspora through music. We connect musicians with composers who are addressing social, cultural, and political issues, creating collaborations that bring these works to life in concerts and recordings.Our goal is to amplify the voices of Iranian composers whose music is often absent from the concert stage, ensuring their works are performed and heard by diverse audiences. Through partnerships with arts organizations and venues, we provide composers with access to resources, musicians, and funding to bring their compositions to a broader audience.We offer a space for experimentation, creativity, and collaboration, supporting works that tackle meaningful themes and promote social justice. Whether through live performances, recordings, or a growing database of works, we aim to ensure that the music of Iranian composers is heard, celebrated, and shared with the world.
هدف ما اين است كه صداهای آهنگسازان ايرانی را تقويت كنيم كه موسيقیشان معمولاً از صحنه های كنسرت ها غايب است، و اطمينان حاصل كنيم كه آثارشان توسط مخاطبان متنوع اجرا و شنيده میشود. از طريق همكاری با سازمان های هنری و مكان های هنری، ما دسترسی آهنگسازان به منابع، موزيسين ها و تأمين مالی را فراهم میكنيم تا آثارشان را به يك جمعيت گسترده تری ارائه دهند.
The Team
Music of the Iranian Diaspora (MofID) was founded by Sepehr Davallou and co-founded by Kimia Rafieian, two passionate musicians dedicated to sharing the powerful music and stories of Iranian composers. Together, they lead the project with a vision to amplify the voices of Iranian composers through collaborations with musicians, arts organizations, and diverse communities.Sepehr and Kimia are committed to growing the MofID network every day, adding new composers and musicians who share a dedication to social justice and cultural storytelling. Their goal is to expand the reach of this project, continuously building a team that can connect Iranian composers with the resources they need to see their music performed and heard globally.تأسیس شده توسط سپهر دولو و كيميا رفيعيان، دو موزيسين با تعهد به اشتراك گذاشتن موسيقی و داستان های قدرتمند آهنگسازان ايرانی. اين دو با هم اين پروژه را با رؤيای تقويت صداهای آهنگسازان ايرانی از طريق همكاری با موزيسينها، سازمانهای هنری و جوامع متنوع رهبری میكنند
